3-day mixed-abled online workshop

cie.nomoreless / Dana Caspersen / MichaelDouglas Kollektiv

You can find our booklet with all the information to download and print here:

We are happy to announce that in the last months together with the MichaelDouglas collective, Dana Caspersen and accessibility experts, we have developed our new mixed-abled online format: PerspectiveShift.
Join us on a three-day workshop-journey in which we explore the topics of polarization, creativity, and self-reflection.

What is special about it?
As a team, we’ve developed a concept that not only incorporates accessibility measures in its external framework and conditions of use. It also creatively integrates the themes of barrier freedom and mixed-ability in our content and artistic formats. Through self-reflection, mixed-abled dance, confrontation and imagination, we will build a self-reflective space of experimentation that opens up new horizons of experience, body and knowledge. Through the awakening of curiosity, the possibility can arise to face conflicts in an open and direct manner.

It’s all a question of perspective – bring in your questions, thoughts, perspectives and conflicts!
We are looking forward to changing perspectives together.

The Polarity Party – Digital led by the MichaelDouglas Kollektiv and Dana Caspersen focuses on keeping the participant connected to their own body and exploring how they perceive themselves and their own understanding of polarisation.

Conflict is a Place of Possibility is a workshop led by dance artist, conflict engagement specialist and author Dana Caspersen. This workshop will include tips and methods to deal with conflict and highlight how to encourage curiosity in difficult situations.

Channelling Imagination will be led by the members of the MichaelDouglas Kollektiv, who will share guided somatic interview focusing on creativity and intuition as a mode of creation. The MichaelDouglas Kollektiv has used this tool as a way to promote intuitive creativity and generate new theatrical worlds and approaches to movement qualities.

The Polarity Party – Digital

As a place to start, we are working with the following definition of polarization: To perceive ourselves as separate and to think and act in ways that fortify or increase that sense of separateness. You may have a different definition. If so, please rely on your own.

The Digital Polarity Party is an action-based, participatory event that invites you to reflect and exchange on the topic of polarization, asking the questions:

  • What is polarization?
  • How does polarization affect us as individuals and communities?
  • How do our actions impact the levels of polarization in our world?

Accessibility measures:

  • Simultaneous translation in English / German
  • Simultaneous translation in German Sign Language
  • Audio description in German
  • Automated written interpretation of spoken English
  • Workshop instructions take into account different physicalities
  • Technical introduction offered 30 minutes before the event (German Sign Language, audio description)

Barriers:

  • No written interpretation of spoken German

Conflict is a Place of Possibility

In this interactive workshop, you will be invited to look at conflict as a place where constructive change is possible. We will think about what it means to develop a mindset of curiosity and a willingness to have challenging conversations, and work on some concrete tools for doing so. We will get to the heart of what matters to people in conflict, in order to move toward that change.

Accessibility measures:

  • Simultaneous translation in English / German
  • Simultaneous translation in German Sign Language

Channelling Imagination – a self reflective interview
