role on is a mixed-abled and mixed-aged dance performance by cie.nomoreless, under the artistic direction of Gitta Roser. Semi-professional and amateur performers 27-76 years of age, with and without physical particularities, step out of their safe comfort zone – and onto a complex playing field, where typical and unconventional images of identity and behaviours are created, deconstructed and set in relation to each other.
Thus, an ambivalent network of moods and impressions becomes the hub of the stage space. The performance places special emphasis on the subtlety of the gestures and the individual expressions of the dancers. Interwoven through sudden and disintegrating constellations, role on reflects the fragility of the daily play of identity.
Thus begins a subtle play of expectations, moments of the unexpected, as well as
manipulative actions.
